"Understanding Turning Points in Dryland Ecosystem Functioning"

The project in one line

The overarching goal of UTURN is to advance our understanding of abrupt changes in dryland ecosystems by combining advanced Earth Observation (EO) techniques with Dynamic Vegetation Models (DVMs). We aim at quantifying turning points in ecosystem functioning and studying the complex interplay of drivers of dryland vegetation dynamics.

The consortium

U-TURN consortium is made of 6 partners from Belgium, The Netherlands and Denmark. All together they have experience in Remote sensing of terrestrial ecosystems, vegetation monitoring and modelling, climate change and eco-physiology.
